Will you be doing any shopping at the new Earth Fare store at Winthrop Commons?

Earth Fare

Love Earth Fare but could do without the crowds. I'll shop there when the newness wears off. Right now it's just a big turn off. When I see the packed parking lot... I just turn tail and run!!!!

Q: What is organic food?

A: Needlessly more expensive.

Correct

And the one question the proponents of organics will never answer for me is this:

The air surrounding your product is polluted. The rain that comes down is loaded with polluntants, as is the soil so how do you produce the product that is "organic?"

I am all for my food being as natural as possible but I cannot afford to buy much of anything on a regular basis from Earth Fare. Can't believe the Winthrop students can afford 10 bucks a meal either. (There lasagna was great but was 7 bucks.)

As far as the milk goes, that is the one product that is now within reach as a hormone laden gallon is $4. I am willing to pay an extra buck for less hormones...or maybe I could use extra hormones? LOL

Trader Joe's

Personally, I think Trader Joe's would have been a much better fit for Rock Hill - still organic, but at discounted prices. I'm still not willing to pay $5.00/gal for milk, even though it is convenient. Just my opinion.

trader joes my pick too

I too would have picked trader joes but since we didn't get it I will do some shopping at earthfare....just not on a reg. basis since they want your whole pocketbook to eat healthy.

A welcome addition

What a great store! Maybe a bit pricey compared to the big chains, but in my opinion, it's a small price to pay for the benefits of organic and natural products - not to mention the variety they offer, and to be able to deal with well trained, friendly, and COURTEOUS employees. Also, glad to see a vacant building put back into use as opposed to new construction.
