Last season was a good one for the Cougars. We made it to the second round of the playoffs after upsetting Beaufort at home and then loseing to Conway. We have a long way to go but I think we once again will be competitive in a very tough conference. I am excited about the upcoming season of York Cougar Football. Come on out and join us at the 'Cougars Den' @ Pratt Field in York for some exciting high school football.
York really did well last
York really did well last season. Region 3-AAAA is going to be very strong this year. Rock Hill and Northwestern were down last year, but you can't keep those teams down long. South Pointe has a lot of talent, and Clover looks impressive. The Cougars got their work cut out for them. They have a solid offensive line, but they're young in other areas. They may struggle early in the season, but John Barrett will get them right fairly quickly. No one should write them off, especially when they're in the Cougar Den. Every Region 3-AAAA game is going to be a dogfight. No one expected the region to end up like it did last year, and there may be some surprises this year.
We'll just have to wait and see.
