We're Number One

Finally, after years of raping the Catawba River, we have made it to the most endangered river in the entire United States. I am so proud.

Just think, the new Museum of Life and Environment can now be built on the banks of the MOST endangered river in the entire country. What a designation.

We have now developed almost half of all available land on the river and that does not include the huge amount of land lost in the water shed and flood plains.

OK now we can get back to football.

Something we all can (should) agree on

Is that our way of life is at risk. We need water and the Catawba is our source.

We may disagree on exactly what or how, but we should all agree that something needs to be done and demand from our Representatives that they get it together and come up with a plan. As mentioned time and time again, this isn't a Rock Hill problem and it can't be a Rock Hill solution. This affects everyone along the river and will require agreement from many.

Won't be easy, but it most get done.

But we now have a "Green" community

What a joke! No water collection systems, no communal gardens, no solar, no nothing but nice appliances.

At some point in time maybe REAL action will be taken to ensure that there is clean water for those of us already here. I could not believe the city lessoned the restrictions. What were they thinking?

I agree, this won't be easy but it is a necessity.

No matter your political or

No matter your political or philosophical leanings, or none at all, respect for the environment is a must!

I have gone green myself. I quit bathing and pee outside. Actually, the former caused the latter but I was allowed inside long enough to type this. Gotta go now!
