Prelude of things to come?

Yeah, I know, it's a little too early to jump the gun, but after South Pointe's victory at Irmo where they had over 400 yards rushing, I think it's safe to say the Stallions are in position to better than double their win output of last year and can be considered one of the favorites to win the Region 3-AAAA title.

I felt South Pointe winning this game carried some added significance. To go down to Irmo and avenge last year's loss shows in some measure how they improved. OK, they won by 3 points, but there is something to be said when a team, which is largely a junior-dominated squad, can do that. It shows maturity and sense of purpose. Everyone knows the Stallions have the horses (pardon the pun) to get the job done. The big thing was to forget the past and cut down mistakes. The Stallions still have some work to do in the mistakes department, but the signs are there for a big season.

SP deffinantly showed us a lot in the game against a very good Irmo team. I still can't believe how huge SP's offensive line is. They are going to wear a lot of teams down.
