June 29 - Unexpected complications for a bride

Kara and Robert are getting married this weekend. And like all brides, Kara has had some stressful moments planning and preparing for her wedding day. She thought things were coming along nicely, the dress, wedding portrait and the newspaper announcement for The Herald were all taken care of and she could move on to other important details.

What she didn’t expect was the bridal shop where she purchased her gown had closed their doors and were going out of business. Then she discovered that the dress she had selected and paid for was a used floor sample and the dress designer had her gown and was waiting for payment.

It turns out that the bridal shop must have been scamming several brides in the region.

Kara’s story will probably end up happily ever after.

Because the first gown had been paid for with a credit card, it’s likely that the money will be refunded because the bridal shop committed fraud and the dress designer was able to give Kara a price break on the new gown because the ‘middleman’ was cut out of the deal.

Still, I bet she had a couple of ‘melt-downs’ through the whole ordeal and is glad that her wedding day is almost here!
