• When she was 9 years-old Kendyl wrote in her diary, “I love Brad and I hope someday he’ll love me…” Brad was 13 years-old and wasn’t paying a bit of attention to her.
Growing up together in the same church, their families were friends, but for several years Brad just didn’t notice the little girl with a huge crush on him.
Unknown to Brad, she even kept a picture of him by her bed.
When he turned 18, Brad started to look at Kendyl from a different perspective. He asked her out on a date and before long they fell in love.
Ten years after that first entry in Kendyl’s diary, Brad and Kendyl are getting married this weekend.
• Then there is Casey. A mutual friend wanted to introduce her to Billy. Casey wasn’t real interested and didn’t want to go meet him. Casey’s mom, Kay, encouraged her to go ahead and at least met the guy. “After all,” Kay said, “It’s not like you’re going to marry him or anything!”
Little did Mom know how wrong she would be — Casey and Billy will be married this fall at Mount Holly Methodist Church.
Isn’t it amazing how God works out the details for us?
