Since when does the battle flag of a failed coup deserve to fly over a state house of the side that won?
I agree with the lady who responded to your letter, that the flag belongs in a museum.

The world has many problems to worry. This situation with the flag is silly. It needs to be taken down and put away. It just leads to more division in the country at a time where the country cannot afford more division than it has. I dont see where religious beliefs factor into the situation. didn't you know that God was on their side? Slavery is in the bible. LOL Put the flag in a museum where it belongs and this comes from the great-great grandchild of a man who never owned a slave but fought and died for "his" country. I honor my great-great grandfather by having an open mind and tolerant heart. He died at the second Manassas (Bull Run to us Yankees) on Aug 30 1862 after being wounded on Aug 28. I think if he were here he would tell you he would have rather stayed home with his wife and children and to put that darn flag away. |

I think we have so many other REAL problems in our country to be praying for instead of this situation with the flag.
What is the world and our religious beliefs coming to?
