Mike Huckabee
(A Common Mans View)
It has been said in times past (by Democrats), that the Republican Party represents only the Rich and forgets about the poor and middle class. I have long defended republicans by saying that this not true and that they do care about the fate of those of us who are less fortunate than others. I also believe that the Republican Party has been strong when it tightly embraces its core valves  such as Anti-Abortion and Anti-Gay marriage. I am not a Church goer, but I agree with Evangelicals that these core values in particular, are very important to the moral fiber of our society. It is for these reasons, among many others, that I am firmly support Mike Huckabee. As I see the media, political analyst, and fellow opponents attack Mike Huckabee, I realize that some voters in America are wondering what the Republican Party stands for. They see the rich, elite, Republican establishment attacking Huckabee, and wonder why go after a man who connects with the average American voter on issues like the economy, taxes, national defense, and values.
While the media and Washington insiders will tell you this not happening, common people are getting his message and we like what we hear. Meanwhile, the Rich, Elite, Republican establishment offers us a multi-million dollar candidate who has not always subscribed to core values like Anti-Abortion, A candidate who is Pro-Abortion and Pro-Gay Marriage, and a Candidate who was and is Pro-Amnesty. So, why oppose Mike Huckabee? The answer is simple, he does not belong to the Rich, elite, Republican establishment. This is exactly why we (The Republican Party) unite behind Mike Huckabee and send to Washington a President who will represent all of the Republican Party by standing Firm in his convictions and true to his Values.

Huckabee's Tarnished Record
There are a lot of people in Huckabee's home state, Arkansas, who were disappointed in, what they considered, his slipping into the gray zone of integrity regarding his accepting a small fortune in gifts, and taking furniture donated to the Governor's House. He is also being scrutinized for the parole of a rapist who went on to murder someone. Gov. H then went on to destroy information in the office computers, which really looks suspicious. If he gets nominated, all of that will be ammo aimed at him. Candidates like to present a persona that isn't always accurate. For me, their record is everything, what they say is just a maybe. Like Pres. Bush promising to be a uniter. If the new president can't work with congress, we'll be at a standstill again. Unfortunately most people vote with their feelings, which has nothing to do with logic.
