Gullick vote for pay raise?

We got a phone call, sounding like a poll at first, but then attacking "your state Rep. Carl Gullick" for voting for the back-door pay raise for members of the state General Assembly.
Almost vicious.
It was paid for by SCRG, it said. That would apparently be South Carolinians for Responsible Government, which is pushign vouchers and related "educational" issues.
EDIT: There's a link below to another topic, I don't know how it got there, but it's got nothing to do with my post.

How does Boyd have anything to do with it???

Boyd does not support school vouchers so where do folks keep throwing his name in on that. He supports tax credits...that is TOTALLY different! You might want to read up a little on the difference. Don't let everyone else convince you of something that you have not reseachered.

It's a private school voucher group

which wants us to use your and my tax dollars to edumacate ther chillun instead of them ther publik skuls.

I hate to think that it is possible that someone like Gullick is more progressive than the alternative, but if the pro-taxpayer funded private schools is the other side, I guess I would pinch my nose and vote for him...unless of course he is so wrong on other issues that the other candidate looks good...

Yes

They want you to fund their "right" to send their children to religious school...so much for separation of church and state.

As far as this candidate goes (Boyd?) I don't believe him for ONE DARN MINUTE when he says he knew nothing about all this. The poll was disturbing but fun because I got to go totally against what they wanted and you could tell it was irritating the lad on the other end of the phone. The taped "message" was DISGUSTING and contained pretty much a pack of lies which just proves that the Far Right Republicans are still playing by the Karl Rove rules of smear tactics.

I heard once SC was KNOWN for its dirty politics...hum.
