Glenn McCall York County GOP chairman elected national committeeman

Congratulations to Glenn McCall on being elected
South Carolina's National Committeeman!!

York County is honored to be represented by such an outstanding conservative at the national level.

Haefele = One Issue Candidate

20% to 40%? A little much don’t you think? This is the type of propaganda Alex supports as part of his campaign, showing up in mailboxes all over. I don't see any other issues he has associated himself with so closely. By the way, a study by an economist at VT finds it to be 3%, with a disclosure. However, now that this has been removed, I wonder what it will equate to.

Think for yourself. Representing the facts requires all of the facts be made available, not just the one’s to support your ideas.

In addition, how is this failure to represent constituents? He hasn’t cast a vote yet.

Transportation-- I agree that Pennies for Progress is in a debacle. However, recall what happened when Council received the update from CME- they made an about face and put it under their direct supervision. Only four projects are complete, but many others are underway according to the Pennies for Progress website. If the program is such a failure, why is the NC General Assembly looking at it as a model for some plans they have in the works??

Schools-- let's not blame Buddy Motz for a National Crisis, and one I think caused by parenting and a larger cultural problem.

VOTE AGAINST MOTZ

Motz leads in the wrong direction. Motz doesn't have a clue about the school crisis. He doesn't understand that runaway population expansion has negative results. You can't just move all the new folks into York County without improving the roads and building new schools and increasing water availability first. All the new folks might be great for the insurance business but it's generally detrimental to the existing residents. Pennies for progress is a good idea to an extent. It means that the folks who live in York County will pay for new improved roads, so that more developments can be built. And the new residents can have nice roads to drive on without having to pay for them. It's nice as long as the money isn't wasted. By the way, is it true that a certain consultant gets a MILLION DOLLARS a year every year from the Pennies for Progress? I hope someone on the County Council is looking at that bill.

Motz is a cheerleader for the Airport Expansion. He supports it 100%, to the detriment of the citizens of Rock Hill. Anyone who bothered to research commercial Airports in residential neighborhoods would find that the homes lose tremendous value and end up blighted. Only an idiot or someone who didn't care about the homeowners in the area would propose building a commercial Airport in a residential area. I think Motz doesn't care about the people he represents.

VOTE AGAINST MOTZ

Get Real, Magster47!

Magster47..."Only an idiot or someone who didn't care"????...... SHAME ON YOU!

Maybe the next ordinance will be one against rude, obnoxious, unsubstantiated comments...

"Timore senza fatti."

Look it up in between your degrading remarks and scare tactics.

Sorry, Magster47. Get over it!

Danger: One Issue Candidate

Electing a politician based on one issue (the airport) may prove to be a counterproductive for the district as a whole. Although it seems like a good idea to elect someone who has soap boxed one issue, how effective will he be in the future? Long term effectiveness is a measure of ability to work with other council members, and I am not certain that other council members will wholeheartedly respect a candidate who opportunistically chose to run based on one issue, an issue most of their constituents aren't concerned with.

Mr. Motz has served me well and has successfully taken on many issues. He has worked to change the ordinance, and until we, his constituents (not including the hysterical anti-airport constituents), are ok with it; I think other council members would vote it down based on respect for incumbent’s opinions. Otherwise, they may vote for the further development of an economic development tool and maybe, against the voice of a known rabble rouser.

MOTZ=FAILURE

Dear Urbanbikes,

Most voters have wised up to the professional politicians bag of dirty tricks. You and Buddy Motz are using one of the dirty tricks by trying to frame Alex Hafaele as a one issue candidate. Obiviously Alex's candidacy is much more then that. I believe his main focus is on defeating the man responsible for turning the Pennies for Progress into a dismal failure. $174,000,000 million dollars collected, and only a few projects completed? What's wrong with that picture? Buddy Motz was in charge. Does Motz=Failure? Motz states that the failure of our schools is a challenge. With 37% of our students failing to graduate it's a full scale EMERGENCY. All of the progress that Motz talks about has resulted in poor schools, crowded roads, not enough water for residents, increasing taxes, failing to oversee how County tax money is spent and getting our dollars worth of goods and services for our tax monies.

By the way, the Airport Expansion Opposition are the only people providing FACTS that show how the expansion would be detrimental to the people of Rock Hill. And those hysterical homeowners, who stand to lose 20% to 40% of their nest egg, are personally experiencing the FAILURE of Buddy Motz to listen to reason and represent his constituents.

Enough of failure, VOTE AGAINST MOTZ.

Alex=Pillage

BTW, Motz has only tried to help with the AOD concerns of the county residents. No one, including Alex Haefele has ever stated the truth about this.
Buddy Motz has and continues to act as mediator between the county and the city of Rock Hill on behalf of the county residents. This was his obligation to do as chairman of the county council. Had the airport been in someone else's council district, it would have still been his obligation to mediate the concerns of the residents.
At the end of the day, Rock Hill can do whatever they want to do with the AOD. Alex can't stop Rock Hill either; ask him!

Here's a few things you need to be asking about Alex...

Why is Alex being deposed in the Rock Hill landfill suit?

Why does Alex say he wants to utilize existing brush-type landfills and make them where they can take construction debris? Has he mentioned his association with Buddy Clawson who happens to own a brush-type landfill and is employed by Alex?

Ask about Alex's campaign manager, Chet miller and Chet's asociation with attorney Chad McGowan. Chet Miller is the campaign manager for Roy Blake also; the incumbent that is suing Ashley Martin over a freedom of speech issue. McGowan is the attorney for Blake.

Has anyone ever asked why Alex only sent some letters to the people who signed the AOD petitions? How did Alex get those names? Chet Miller? McGowan?

York County does not need a "Pied Piper" representative, York county needs to maintain proven leadership.

Vote for Motz...I will!

Not a one Issue Candidate
