John Fox still says WR D.J. Hackett (toe) is day-to-day, but admitted some concern about the most recent thing to keep him off the field.
"He's having a good camp," Fox said. "Obviously this is a setback, but one we'll work through."
The words "obviously" and "setback" were the operative ones. Bottom line, Hackett came here with a reputation for being injury prone, and is doing little to dispel it here.
-- Don't look for four defensive starters tomorrow night, as CBs Ken Lucas and Chris Gamble along with SS Chris Harris and MLB Jon Beason are still out of practice. Also not expected to play are WRs Ryne Robinson and Hackett, DT Ian Scott and TEs Gary Barnidge, Chris Conklin and Dante Rosario.
-- Looks like Fox has tabbed his game captains for the Colts game, with QB Jake Delhomme, WR Muhsin Muhammad, K John Kasay, DE Julius Peppers and LB Thomas Davis expected to lead the team out of the tunnel.
Players will vote for season captains before the first game.
-- Friday was the "plan for all possible outcomes" practice which included players running onto the field for each personnel group. Not to single anyone out, but RB DeCori Birmingham was the only one to fail to take his place with the first units of the special teams, showing up late for his kickoff return blocking assignment.

lol
I think the fact you are assuming that is one of his problems is very telling burgerking man.
