Do you think Hillary Clinton should pull out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination?Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 2008-05-09 12:38.DC-3's Have Been Landing at Rock Hill AirportSubmitted by Pat_MyGroin on Sat, 2008-05-17 05:36.
BRONCOB & others concerned, I guess it's because of all the uproar lately on our Airport that people are starting to pay more attention as to what's going on. DC-3Submitted by magster47 on Fri, 2008-05-16 16:02.
Hey Broncob, did you think the people talking to you were really God fearing Christians? If you confront them with your claim, will you hear excuses, clarification of their statements or will they be asking for proof of what you saw? The poll so farSubmitted by John_Nielsen on Wed, 2008-05-14 15:01.
Wow...I am a bit surprised that as of Wednesday, 61 percent of the people who chose to vote on this still want Hillary to stay in the race. Doesn't look like a good sign to me. I think there might be some fireworks left in this campaign yet. Hey, as long as they keep racing...Submitted by Michaelprocton on Wed, 2008-05-14 15:48.
It only takes more away from their focus on the actual presidential race. The longer they take, the better it is for McCain. York Tech Graduation CeremonySubmitted by mel128 on Wed, 2008-05-14 07:32.
I attended the YTC graduation ceremony last night. I was one of many proud family members present to watch a loved one graduate. As always in an event such as this, the audience is reminded to hold applause, etc until the last graduate's name is called. I was appalled at the behavior What does this have to do with Hillary Clinton?Submitted by freethought on Wed, 2008-05-14 13:11.
"Tantum religio potuit suadere malorum." Jumping the gun?Submitted by JSchonberg on Tue, 2008-05-13 14:01.
At least one news organization is ready to declare a winner. I found this cover for this week's Time Magazine online today. They apparently are ready to declare Obama the winner. Do you think they are jumping the gun? Hang in there HillarySubmitted by poppers on Tue, 2008-05-13 09:17.
I am amazed at the last several Democrat presidential nominations! They sabotage themselves. For example, if Bush is as idiotic as the left says he is, what does that say about them losing to him? With regards to the contention of Bush's theft of Florida, ask why it was even that close! Bill Clinton was the only winnable candidate in many years, and he had to sneak up on them to do it. I believe Obama is another mistake, almost as bad as Dukakis, Gore or Kerry. Hillary can't beat Obama who can't beat McCain, who is problematic for staunch conservatives. Good one Dems! You're doing it again. Thanks! Hillary should pack it up now...Submitted by freethought on Wed, 2008-05-14 04:06.
Oh come on... Republicans have always been able to sell their candidates more on ideals than actual deeds. Bush was no different. Lets face it, the only way he got into office was to be appointed by the supreme court. Republicans vote not on merits, but on marching orders from talking heads such as Oreilly and Limpballs... erg... Limbaugh There is a fundamental shift in the Democratic party currently. People don't want a corporate Democrat (ie Hillary) taking the reigns, that is why the grass roots candidates are getting so popular. Look at the 2004 primary. IMO - Howard Dean was a much stronger candidate than Kerry. He had a very strong grass roots following. McCain being the Republican Candidate shows a shift in the view of the politics of the country. Bush has been a disaster for our country. Not just economically, but militarily and emotionally. I know staunch Conservatives who cringe when I mention Bush and they regret voting for him. Rove did a great job selling Bush to the religious right, and Bush did not come through for them. Obama is doing many things right. He is charging up the young vote more so than I have seen any candidate, he has made his earmarks available for the public to see (something that the other two contenders have not done) and he wants to take this country in a better direction. Clinton / McCain are going to be the same kind of President Bush is. A figure head that will do more for their corporate lobbyist than the country. Besides, if Obama has been able to fend off all the attacks that Hillary has thrown at him - he is definetly the guy who can lead this country. I am sure he will not be the kind of President that states he sacrificed golf for the troops. Anyone who voted for this moron should feel a bit of guilt after seeing a comment like that. you are probably rightSubmitted by poppers on Sat, 2008-05-17 07:00.
Actually, my contention about the Democrat presidential list of deadbeats would include Hillary, not Obama. Hillary should not drop outSubmitted by genemur on Mon, 2008-05-12 18:53.
No, Hillary should not drop out. She should stay in this and fight to the bitter end. I believe she is a much better candidate than Obama could ever be. Not just saying thisSubmitted by hoodornament on Sun, 2008-05-11 16:22.
because of Operation Chaos - I think Hillary should stay in this thing until the process has played out to its fullest. She has invested a ton of time. money and resources into this campaign and should not drop out just because the American media has annointed Obama as the next President. She owes that much to her supporters. When this thing started, I was an Obama guy from the standpoint that if it were inevitable that a Demoratic candidate win the White House, I'd rather it be him than Hillary. As this thing has unfolded, I have to say I was wrong. I just do not think Obama has the experience and leadership abilities to keep us safe in a world where terrorists are determined to kill us. I don't think he has the experience and leadership abilities to lead us to a new era of economic prosperity. What I do think he has the ability to talk a good game. But for me, the stakes are too high to put my money on such an unknown commodity. At least with Hillary - you know the good, bad (sorry, Bill) and ugly. With this process having come so far, why the sudden cry to end everything and annoint Obama as the nominee? Let it play out for a few more weeks. Have Obama and Hillary really debate the issues and each other and see which one has the mettle to take the nomination. What bothers meSubmitted by Enlighten on Mon, 2008-05-12 05:44.
Is that Obama really does not have a majority (support wise) and would not win a contest against McCain if the Hillary supporters don't get on board. I like Obama, I do not believe he has the experience to be president. Of course inexperience did not stop Bush and Obama is way more intelligent than Bush but do we need to go down that road? I was very dissatisfied on how Obama handled the Rev. Wright fiasco. If a white man had made those types of statements against a black man, the candidate would have been driven out of the contest with no mercy shown. I dont' know what to think. Will Obama be able to carry PA, CA, or NY? Without those states he will lose to McCain. A McCain presidency is a scary prospect; more war, more poverty, more damage to the environment. (Let us not forget that McCain is wealthier than Bush and Cheney) That leaves me voting against someone and not for someone. And of course there is the fact that Hillary would be leading in delegates if Fl and MI counted. (What were the Democrats thinking in FL and MI?) Oh well, I stopped trying to figure out politicians YEARS ago. Hillary should not drop out !Submitted by royboyar on Sun, 2008-05-11 13:41.
If John, Barack, and Hillary are the top 3 Americans in the country, we are in GREAT shape. More power to all of them! |

Airport Expansion
So the aiport expansion is not about bringing in commercial aircraft. If this is true then why did a DC-3
commercial aircraft with a wingspan of 95 feet land and take off this morning? The flight originated in Charlotte. I remember one of our elected officials stating that it would not be feasible to have flights between Rock Hill and Charlotte !!! Just more misinformation from an elected official.
