On Monday, November 1st, the community center behind Jerusalem Baptist Church at 1003 Steele Street in Fort Mill, SC will rock with the wisdom and wit of former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Currently attending the Elevate Festival in Austria, Rep. McKinney served a dozen years in Congress and as her last act filed papers to impeach President Bush, VP Cheney and Sec. of State Rice.
Her visit is sponsored by the York County (SC) Greens. Her visit is expected to boost voter turn out in the coming town council race, and hopefully will benefit Bryan Smith's run for Fort Mill Town Council.
The event will begin at 6 PM with a press conference and Rep. McKinney will address comments to the crowd starting at 6:30. Light refreshments will be served and local talent will grace the stage in advance of Rep. McKinney's address.
If you know anyone in the Carolinas, please ask them to attend.

Well hoodornament, that's quite a list
and no doubt you could find any number of other things you to point to and say whatever you like, but I will try to cover some of the comments you have made.
First, I would recommend that readers consider visiting All Things Cynthia McKinney and do some research yourself instead of accepting boilerplate arguments put forward by the pundits.
A visit to The Cynthia McKinney Perspective will de-bunk many of the things you have said, but let me go ahead and take a few examples.
First of all, she did not say that Bush allowed the attacks of 9-11, nor that he caused them, but that there are unanswered questions, including the question of who made all that money on stock trades just before and on 9-11. As I understand it, a huge majority of New York City citizens believe we still have not gotten to the bottom of who knew what and when. Here is a link to a page entitled Public Reaction to Rep. McKinney's Call for 9-11 Investigation
The assertion that Rep. McKinney is an anti-Semite is a ploy used for decades against anyone who questions the billions of dollars spent in US foreign aid to prop us the state of Israel. I know that for some this is a sacred cow. The idea of asking Israel why they are holding hundreds of thousands of Palestinians behind fences and barbed wire is enough for some to lob the anti-Semite bomb. Fortunately, Rabbi Michael Lerner not only does not believe she is an anti-Semite, Rabbi Michael Lerner urges Jews to support McKinney.
As to the Capitol Hill officer situation, as I understand it, she had changed her hair style, which people do from time to time, and as she went through the breezeway reserved for members of Congress a security guard called out to her "ma'am...ma'am" and she did not respond because she did not understand that he was calling to her. The guard then came up behind her and grabbed her by the elbow. She pulled back and, by her own admission in her apology, over-reacted. Now imagine that you are walking along at work and someone unexpectedly grabs your elbow from behind. Is there not at least a chance that you might wind up having to apologize for your reaction?
The Saudi Prince affair is fully detailed right over here, so, instead of going with rumor, why not take a look for yourself at the actual letter.
Rep. McKinney may have supporters who are anti Semitic, but she absolutely has distanced herself from those statements as you can read at this article To quote McKinney herself, "The [Jewish] Anti-Defamation League has said I am not anti-Semitic."
As to how effective she was in Congress, well, her voters returned her to congress five times. Apparently many of them thought she represented them well. Remember too that Rep. McKinney has always been at the edge, pushing hard for the issues that concern her and her voters. Going along and getting along is what makes you "effective", while standing by your principles makes you "ineffective" in many eyes.
I don't have time to deal with the rest hoodornament, but please consider this your personal invitation to come hear her speak yourself. I'm in the book if you want to reserve a space. :-)
