Aug. 10 - Sitting on God's game board

Carolyn had given God her description of the kind of man He was supposed to send her. He especially needed to be tall. She signed up for match.com and was meeting some wonderful new friends there, but none were tall enough.

Without telling him first, Randy’s grandchildren signed him up on match.com. They were convinced that he needed to “get out more.” When Randy found out, he agreed to give it a shot and started checking out the profiles, even though he didn’t use the computer that often. When he came across Carolyn’s photo, he stopped, said, “That’s the one,” and gave her a “wink,” online.

They exchanged a few emails and things started to become more serious when she read two little words in one of his emails, “home improvement.”

The emails turned into long wonderful telephone conversations, then eventually meeting. Carolyn was elated when she discovered that Randy was tall all right – a godly man, tall in character, and they fell in love.

Carolyn said these past several months were like “Sitting on God’s game board and letting Him move the pieces.” He made all the necessary ‘moves’ that has resulted in great joy for Randy, Carolyn and their families!
