• Amber and Brandon’s engagement announcement on Mother’s Day will be a surprise to them. Not surprised they are getting married — they have been looking forward to their June wedding for months. The surprise will be it’s in The Herald. Amber’s mom, Tammy, brought in the paperwork and photo without telling them what she was up to.
• More surprises on Sunday. Rayford and Frankie don’t know that their kids have plotted to put their anniversary announcement in the paper Sunday with a late 1950’s photo of them. If that isn’t surprise enough, they kids are going in together to get them a flat screen t.v., and replace the old console set they’ve had for years. Nice job kids!
(Note: Rayford and Frankie's daughter assured that they won't be online, so I won't ruin the surprise.)
• As if a bride doesn’t have enough stress in planning the perfect wedding day — what do you think it must be like for a bride who also had to make sure she has enough cultural event credits? Heidi is graduating from Winthrop University on Saturday, and she is marrying Charles on the same day. She must be really, really good at multi-tasking.
• Tait and Matthew have a wedding date set, but everyone understands it might need to be changed. If Matthew’s orders to report for duty in Iraq are changed, the wedding date will be moved up. Being flexible is a key component in any successful marriage. Tait and Matthew will put that theory to test before the ceremony!

Surprises
BetteC, I just wanted to let you know that my parents Rayford and Frankie loved their new TV, even though my mom had to say they didn't need it but, my Dad said it took 50 years to get a new TV. Thanks again for your help. Karen
