The Bearcats went down to Gaffney and were in the game most of the way. Right now, the offense seems to be the problem. The defense is getting the job done. But all the Bearcats need is experience. The offense will come around -- remember, one of Gaffney's TDs was an interception return. The Indians didn't dominate Rock Hill's defense, and I don't suspect any team really will this year (barring possible injuries, of course).
I know a lot of people over the past year were saying, "What's wrong with the Bearcats?" I think a good bit of their dropoff has to do with their being three high schools in town now. It takes a little time to rebuild a program when part of your talent pool is allocated to another school. They'll be back, but patience is the key.

Still a Bearcat fan
The rivalry between Gaffney and Rock Hill has always been intense. I played for the Bearcats back in the early 70's. I remember the tunnel we had to run out off as fans would throw objects etc. at us but that just made for a good game. I am glad to see that the tradation is still as intense and emotional as it was then. Hang in there Cat fans as I know the teams will be back to its dominate force.
